"Who do you think I am, and who you think I was?"

Devin Foster is always seeking to expand & share his music to a wider audience through live shows and productions. "Music & songwriting is my biggest passion, but it's not as fulfilling as growing as a musician and sharing my music to new listeners + longtime fans".

Aside from playing shows with local songwriters in & out of the Calgary area, his lyricism is mostly inspired from the heart and real life circumstances. "It's really a lot easier to give your all to a song when you believe in it and think back on how you felt when playing it. If that particualar song can help with my emotions or even further inspire me... Then maybe it could do the same for someone listening to it."

Writing about love, heartbreak, and mental breakdowns can have exhausting themes, but he doesn't want each of those songs to have the same tone as the other, Devin plays and meddles with variety, playing a track several different ways before finding the beat its best designed for. On top of all of that, he brings layering of both guitar and vocals to some live songs through a loop station.

Between originals & occasional thrown in covers, the singer-songwriter branches his audience through rythym and familiarity, and turns his experiences to relatability. "If a picture is worth 1000 words, then a song should be worth 1000 stories. And I want nothing more than to share those stories."
